Awesome Affordable Clothing! 1015!

I have recently had the pleasure of being sent 2 pieces from 1015, they sell various fashionable clothing that features most of their clothing for $10-$15!

I have been dying for a Peplum dress so I ordered - Mint Green/Ivory Color Block Exposed Zip Peplum Party Pencil Dress.

I love it!! The color looked different in person. It looked more like mint ice cream and less blue. I took a couple of pictures wearing the dress! Let me know what you think!

I also have been dying for pleather black pants. Since I live in MN going out on weekends can be rough in a dress so I figured black leather or pleather pants would allow me to have fun all year long! Here are some photos of them on me! I ordered one size up which I am extremely happy I did. It allows me to wear them in slightly classier settings instead of being like tight leggings they left some room to move!  Let me know what you think about the fit and style!

Black Faux Leather Coated Mid Rise Skinny Jegging Pants

I was all around very very impressed with 1015! The quality was excellent, the prices are super cheap, and the style and fit are great! These are very similar to clothing you would pay 3 or 4 times the price for in a mall. I highly recommend checking them out! I posted a link below!!

The Under $100 Target Bed Room Remodel!

I absolutely love shopping for home decor and furniture. I have often dreamed of having someone handing me a debit card and decorate a room for them. Since that has yet to happen. I decided that I would embark on an affordable college friendly room remodel! I settled at spending $100 at most since I already have all of the furniture I would need.  Everything I ended up buying came from Target. Not only do they have really cute decor but also pretty cheap!

This is what my room looked like before! Not bad but not the stylish room I so desired. I already had a lot of really cute things in my room but I just needed some key things to tie everything together!

When remodeling your room you have to first think of a color scheme or find a image online that inspires you.

This was mine

I also happen to have 3 connecting canvases I had made in a previous DIY. Here is the link!!
          http://thekmax102.blogspot.com/2013/08/diy-canvas-art.html

After figuring out the color scheme I wanted to go for I started off scouring the internet. I found that Target is a pretty good place to shop for affordable and cute home decor and bedding.

I started off searching for bedding because that is typically the most expensive thing.

I found this awesome plush comforter w/ 2 pillow cases online @ Target for $20.99

After that I tried to find a couple pillows that would add different colors making the bed not SO pink.

I bought this pillow in Orange  for $8.99 in store at Target. It was 75% off!

I also bought this in teal body pillow for $7.99 on sale in store at Target.

Next I picked out curtains! I was really surprised at how expensive curtains have gotten and that you only get one panel. I ended up picking this one out because it was on clearance for $12.99 and still fit with my theme.  I have a green rug that I have had since I first started college that I just love. So these curtains tie in the green from the rug with the blue from the body pillow on the bed.

Here is the finished product!!!!

I love my room so much!!! :)  I feel like the bedding really makes the room!

What I spent!

Comforter $20.99
Large Orange Pillows  $8.99 * 2
Body Pillow Cover $7.99
Curtains $12.99

I ended up spending  $59.99 total!!!!!

Om-mazing Jacket -Ellie's Down to Earth Collection!

I recently received the Om-mazing jacket by Ellie! I am in love with it!
The material is so stretchy and the inner fabric is extremely soft! It also has thumb holes which takes a little bit to get use to but once you do you do every other jacket you own is now lacking!  It is now my go to jacket!

It is a piece in Ellie's signature line which means if you sign up for the FFC subscription you only get 1 signature piece or 2 regular line pieces. For $49.99 or $39.99 off your first FFC purchase with my special link! (  http://ellie.evyy.net/c/51741/58568/1664) it is a steal! Lululemon charges triple that for the same quality product and Ellie is made in the U.S. so I consider it even better!

Here is a picture of me wearing the jacket! :) I love it!

MeUndies! The Most Comfortable Underwear You Will Ever Own!

I recently came across this awesome new company called MeUndies. They are based in the US! There products are all made in LA. They sell very comfortable underwear,t shirts, and socks. I received a pair of women's briefs(pictured below) as well as a women's v-neck t shirt(pictured below). The minute I took them out of the package, I knew they would be one of the most comfortable pair of underwear I had ever owned. The next day I wore them for the entire day. My job requires a lot of getting up and moving around and sitting in chairs and I am use to getting wedgies even with other brands "super soft" underwear, but I had no problem with MeUndies. They fit perfectly and don't ride up. I also loved the grey v-neck shirt. It was made out of a soft material and didn't shrink up like many of my other t shirts. I highly recommend checking out MeUndies! They have the best underwear that money can buy! Try them out!

DIY Canvas Art!

I am an avid Pinterest viewer and I always see these beautiful DIY canvas art photos and always feel inspired to try it and I finally went to Michaels and bought the goods!  I recommend going to Michaels for canvases, paint, & brushes because you can use their 40-50% coupons on the canvases.( http://weeklyad.michaels.com/coupons/). Other places such as JoAnns you are aren't able to use coupons on canvases. Luckily my Mom had 100+ different acrylic paints I could use.

So here we go!

Things you will need!
-Canvas
-Acrylic Paint ( a variety of colors & then either black, white, or gold for the herringbone lines)
-Thin Painters tape
-Paint brush ( between .5"-1.5" wides)

The only thing I needed to buy was canvases so I bought a 5 pack of 16" by 20" from Michaels for $12( I used a 40% coupon). (http://www.michaels.com/Artist%27s-Loft%E2%84%A2-Necessities%E2%84%A2-16in-x-20in-Super-Value-Canvas-Pack/fa1697,default,pd.html?cgid=products-artsupplies-canvas-valuepacks

I was inspired by this blog! http://www.ateaspoonofhappiness.com/diy-canvas-art-the-pinterest-challenge-1/

I decided to do 3 connecting canvases. I wanted one with pink & purple tones, one with blue, green and yellow, and one that tied to two together with pink, purples, blues, and greens.

1. Here is a look at the strokes and crossover strokes that I used. There really is no right way to do it. Just add colors where you think they should go and try and have a variety of directions.

2. Once your canvas is 99% color let it sit and dry for about 1-2 hours till you can touch the paint .

3. Take your painters tape and start making lines going in different directions leaving roughly a 1/4-1/5 inch between the strips of tape. Leaving a couple of spots blank. Personally I taped it all up and then took between 3-5 small strips off to give it a little more variety. Like the photo below!

4. After it is all taped up take your line color, I used white and gently tab it through the tape canals. I used a circular foam sponge brush so that I wouldn't have to worry about having the white blur under the tape.

5. After it is all painted let take all the tape off right away and let it dry on a flat surface for a couple of hours.

6. Voila! All done! If you have any questions leave a comment or email maxwe135@umn.edu

My Second Ellie Order!

As I posted earlier this year I recently became a brand ambassador for Ellie Workout wear. I received my first package from them in February  and I have been loving my love struck leggings & kiss me capris! I wear the gear non-stop! I don't think I have ever owned such comfortable breathable workout wear! I own Lululemon but they can get kind of thick and sweaty. Where my Ellie gear has the right amount of thickness without making me overheat! The quality is excellent!  Made in the USA! The fit is amazing!  I am very impressed with how well their clothing is made and the quality of the fabric and how soft it is. I am truly in love with Ellie!

Every month they come out with a new line of tanks, shirts, shorts, leggings, and capris!  They are very true to size as well,I order a  small  top and I usually wear a small or medium I wear a 34B and it fits me perfectly! The leggings are a small and fit me like a glove!

So for the month of March- The Little Black Collection

I ordered the Back in Black Tank! ( Pictured right <3 <3 <3).

I love this shirt so much! I feel sexy when I wear it whether its to go workout at the local rec center or when I wore it out on the town with my friends to go sing karaoke! Just a warning you are going to look hot in it and you will be noticed by members of the opposite gender! I am currently wearing this shirt as I type this review and I never want to take it off! The fabric is very breathable yet not see through. The built in sports bra covers everything it needs to so you don't have to worry about popping out ever. I really hope Ellie comes out with a neon collection and makes this shirt with a hot pink sports bra!

The second piece I received was the little black leggings( pictured lower right). The fit again is just amazing! The fit me exactly like my wonder unders but they are not as thick making them the perfect pants! You know how everyone says every girl needs a little black dress... every girl needs a little black legging by Ellie! The quality is great! They don't stretch out after almost a full day of wear. They are my new go to pants!

I love Ellie! I hope if you haven't tried out their product you do! Since I am a brand ambassador if you use this link you get 20% off!!! :)

Being an athlete, I am always on the lookout for cute & inexpensive athletic clothes. About 2+ months ago I came across this company called Ellie. I was able to get my first order of 2 pieces for only $39.95 +s/h. This came about a month after I had purchased my first pair of Lululemon wunder unders. I had become obsessed with leggings. So instead of buying another pair of $90 pants I thought I would give Ellie a try.  I ordered the Love Struck Legging & the Kiss Me Capri  (pictured below)

I was so excited to get my package in the mail! It came in a large hot pink bubble envelope! How cool!!! I had high expectations for this product and they were exceeded.  I was very happy! I usually wouldn't buy a pair of leggings that had a stripe down the side but I feel like it is so stylish! The fabrics are very soft and stretchy but, they don't bag out like some fabrics do. Ellie's 4 way stretch fabric is definitely comparable to lululemons. I found that Ellie's fabric that was used to make the LSL & KMC are a little bit lighter weight then lululemons but I actually prefer that. This way I can wear them in the winter, spring, & fall!

I will definitely become a repeat customer. Another really cool thing about Ellie is all of their clothes are made in the USA! YAY!  Ellie makes terrific clothes for under $25 a piece. How can I say no! :)
